To our Fans and Supporters:
It has come to our attention that Oswego Speedway Management has decided to implement rules that ban the independent suspension and severely limit shocks currently used on our cars and cars of some of our fellow competitors. While we understand how difficult this decision must have been for the speedway, we do believe that there are many false rumors that helped lead to this decision.
The first rumor is the cost of the shocks being used by the independent cars. At no time has any Xtreme Chassis owner paid $10,000 for shocks. All of our cars have shocks that were rebuilt and can be purchased from any reputable Ohlins dealer for less then $1,000 a piece.
The second rumor is that our chassis was designed by engineers in Indianapolis. This is again false. While we did have an engineer look at and confirm some of our hypotheses, the main design was created at Xtreme Chassies’ old location in Fulton, NY.
Independent suspensions are not as complicated as they have been made out to be. All the information that was needed to design and build our cars has been found in books available to everyone either in a library, the internet or Amazon.com. Even the engineer that we talked to has his book available for anyone to purchase on Amazons’ website.
We cannot look back and at this point must move on. We will continue to support our current customers in their future endeavors whether it be ISMA, MSA, or spending some much needed time next summer with their patient families in their back yard. We will continue to supply parts and accessories through our variety of dealerships to all racers, and will continue to produce safe, fast and reliable race cars giving our customers a choice of front suspension types. Either way we look forward to the future with ISMA, MSA, and beyond.
Sincerely
Staff of Xtreme Chassis, Inc.
